Mutual Rescue Fund
About the Mutual Rescue Fund
Of the $373 billion given to charity in the U.S. in 2015, less than 1% went to animal-related causes. We want to change that.
The Mutual Rescue Fund, administered by Humane Society Silicon Valley, helps Mutual Rescue™ show that helping animals also helps people—often in miraculous ways.
Your donation supports Mutual Rescue's global efforts to share compelling, true stories in print and original films with tens of millions of people around the world. Additionally, the Mutual Rescue Fund benefits local, nonprofit animal-welfare organizations associated with the initiative. These 501(c)3 non-profit organizations were selected through recommendations from the rescue pet adopters whose stories are told in Mutual Rescue films. Recipients include: Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, Animal Rescue League Shelter & Wildlife Center, Foothills Animal Shelter, Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, and Seattle Humane.
Thank you for considering a charitable donation in any amount. Together, we are saving lives.
About Mutual Rescue
Mutual Rescue is an initiative that aims to change the way people see animal welfare. By sharing stories about connecting a person with an animal, Mutual Rescue hopes to demonstrate that when you adopt from your local animal shelter, you're not just enhancing an animal's life—you're also transforming a person's life as well. The stories shared by everyday people through Mutual Rescue are testaments to the incredible impact that an animal and a person have on each other, and that "rescuing" isn't in just one direction.
