About Mutual Rescue's Kylie & Liza Fund

Mutual Rescue's Kylie & Liza Fund has been established to help make Kylie's wishes come true: saving homeless animals and ending childhood cancer. Through Mutual Rescue, there is a simple and secure way to make one online charitable donation to support both important causes.

Help Make Kylie's Dream Come True

Mutual Rescue is honored and proud to be collaborating with Kylie's parents, Robin and Mark Myers, to share Kylie and Liza's story for the benefit of pediatric cancer patients and homeless animals. We've established a fund so that people moved by our film can easily donate.

Mutual Rescue's Kylie & Liza Fund was inspired by two things Kylie cared deeply about: finding a cure for childhood cancer and saving homeless animals. Highlighting these two causes together provides a voice to the voiceless—children and animals—and the opportunity to support two chronically underfunded areas.

  • 2.7 million homeless animals are euthanized in the U.S. every year. And, of the $373 billion given to charity in the U.S. in 2015, less than 1% went to animal related causes.
  • In the U.S., cancer is the number one cause of death by disease and, in 2014, 1 in 285 children were diagnosed. The National Cancer Institute's 2014 budget was $4.9 billion with childhood cancer receiving only 4% of that amount.

Donations to Mutual Rescue's Kylie & Liza fund will be distributed to 501(c)3 non-profit organizations focused on pediatric cancer research and local animal rescue. Thank you for considering a charitable donation!

About Mutual Rescue

Mutual Rescue is an initiative that aims to change the way people see animal welfare. By sharing stories about connecting a person with an animal, Mutual Rescue hopes to demonstrate that when you adopt from your local animal shelter, you're not just enhancing an animal's life—you're also transforming a person's life as well. The stories shared by everyday people through Mutual Rescue are testaments to the incredible impact that an animal and a person have on each other, and that "rescuing" isn't in just one direction.

It has always bothered me to see people put animals ahead of humans. Now I am beginning to see that I may have to learn from an animal how to love you
